Mike Fulton

Mike Fulton is president of Xactware. Mr. Fulton oversees Xactware’s integrated solutions for estimating, managing, and analyzing property claims as well as products for professionals involved in the repair and maintenance of bank-owned property and real-estate sales. During his tenure at Xactware, Mike has served as senior vice president of claims solutions, senior vice president of quality and support, vice president of pricing data services, claims project manager, pricing analyst, and senior catastrophe consultant.
Mike has been actively involved in the residential and commercial construction industry since 1979 and in the property claims automation industry since 1992. Mike is a graduate of Chattahoochee Technical College in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Water Restoration Technician (IICRC) designations and is a licensed general contractor.

Phil Klotzbach

Phil Klotzbach is a research scientist in the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University. He received his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from CSU in 2007. Klotzbach has been employed in the Department of Atmospheric Science for the past 17 years and was co-author on the Atlantic basin hurricane forecasts with Dr. William Gray through 2005. He became first author on the seasonal hurricane forecasts in 2006. Klotzbach developed the two-week forecasts currently being issued during the peak months of the hurricane season between August-October. He has published over two dozen articles in peer-reviewed journals such as
Journal of Climate

Weather and Forecasting
. Klotzbach graduated from Bridgewater State College with a B.S. degree in Geography in 1999. He then attended Colorado State University where he received his masters degree in atmospheric science in 2002. After receiving his masters degree, Klotzbach thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine (2100-plus miles). He has also climbed all 54 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado, and has completed eight marathons and five ultra-marathons.

Tom Adams is the flood director for Pilot Catastrophe Services, Inc. He has been in the claims industry for over 20 years and involved in every major catastrophe during that period. In that time, Tom has witnessed the evolution of claims and been instrumental in instituting some of the most progressive innovations in flood claims handling. Adjuster, trainer, manager and director; Tom has been active in the claims process at every level. Adjuster-oriented and customer service driven, Tom has developed a number of systems that provide detailed tracking and reporting of the claims life cycle.

Rusty Amarante is director of operations for BELFOR Property Restoration and president of the BELFOR Franchise Group which includes 1-800 Water Damage. He has spent 40 years in the restoration industry and is a past president of RIA. Rusty has received the Martin L. King Award and was vice chair of IIRCRC S500 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional; Water Damage Restoration.
Ryan Barkdull

Ryan Barkdull is the training coordinator/manager for the flood division at Pilot Catastrophe Services, Inc. Ryan has his Associate in National Flood Insurance (ANFI) designation through The Institutes. Since he emerged in the industry in 2004, Ryan has become an affiliated Xactware trainer and has been involved with Xactware on the FEMA flood project. Ryan has contributed to the improvements of Pilots Flood Management Resources through the development of custom reporting, with the goal of streamlining and further improving the quality of the final product. He has also developed flood classes, including virtual courses, which meet the requirements for continuing education credits for several states.

Tim Bowen is the an Assistant Vice President for MetLife Auto & Home, where he is responsible for the homeowner claim service across the United States. He is based in the home office of MetLife Auto & Home in Warwick, Rhode Island. Tim has been with MetLife for 23 years and has served in numerous technical, project management and operations roles. He earned his MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Tim Bruffey

Tim Bruffey is the vice president of innovation for Accurence, Inc., a Colorado-based technology provider with inspection and scope automation solutions for insurers and contractors. Tim is an industrial engineer and inventor with 25 years of solution-oriented IT expertise for the property and casualty insurance and construction industry. Previous work includes plant QA manager for GM's Cadillac brand; founding MonitorBot™, a remote moisture monitoring system for mitigation vendors; and operations with ServiceMaster for more than 15 years. He spends his time at Accurence working with insurance carriers to innovate their claims workflows and aiding contractors in system implementations that generate consistency and scalability.

Brad Cowan has been with Paul Davis Restoration since July 2015 as senior vice president of business development where he oversees Paul Davis’ national business partnerships, as well as the national business development team. Prior to his time with Paul Davis, Brad spent 24 years supporting the insurance replacement industry, most recently as corporate vice president at Enterprise Rent A Car where he managed many business partnerships with U.S. Insurance Carriers and Collision Industry Partners. He received a BBA Management degree from West Georgia University. Brad was previously on the executive board of “Parents as Teachers,” a national education organization focusing on early childhood education and support programs.

Ben Davis is a project manager for Xactimate desktop, where he directs development efforts for the next version of Xactimate desktop as well as customer engagement for custom projects. He started working at Xactware in 2008. Before joining Xactware, he worked in application development and process improvement for various companies in the manufacturing sector. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in CAD/CAM engineering technology from Southern Utah University.
Greg DeTray

Greg DeTray is the president and founder of Distagage.com. As an independent catastrophe adjuster, he recognized the efficiency, accuracy, and safety advantages of using a laser distance meter and established Distagage.com in 2003. Through his efforts, Distagage grew to be the largest distributor of laser distance meters in North America. Greg has worked closely with Xactware since 2003, providing integration and product support for all Bluetooth-enabled Leica Disto products. Distagage provides sales, technical support, training, service, and employee discount programs to carriers, adjusting firms, and remediation contractors, as well as customers in the real estate appraisal, window treatment, surveying, building information modeling, and construction industries.
Greg has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of Kansas.
Phanom Dixie

Phanom Dixie held the role of product strategist at Moody's Analytics. In this role, she has overseen and contributed to many of Moody's Analytics suite of products and services that are used extensively by financial institutions worldwide. Phanom comes with ratings agency expertise at both Moody's Analytics and Standard & Poor's. She has deep experience from various trading desks, an obligation to continuous development in financial analysis, and a deep understanding of solutions for measuring and managing risk. Prior to joining the ratings agency business, Phanom worked on various trading desks in market risk & finance roles for the Equity (JPMorgan), Mortgage Back Securities (Merrill Lynch), and Credit Derivatives (Deutsche Bank) desks.
Tory Farney

Tory Farney is an insurance product manager and data analyst in Verisk Insurance Solution’s Services Division. His primary role is in the development and visualization of analytics for both insurance and supply chain interests as it relates to weather and other data sources. His background is in the field of meteorology and he is actively pursuing a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.
Tim Felks

Tim Felks has served as the head of property claims for four years and has been part of Farmers Insurance since 1997. He has held multiple positions in his 20 years with Farmers including property, auto, and liability claim representative, and leadership roles in personal lines and commercial property claims. Before joining Farmers, Tim served in the United States Air Force for eight years. He earned a bachelor of science in occupational education degree in business administration from Wayland Baptist University in Anchorage, Alaska, and currently resides in the greater Los Angeles area.
Ted Foster
BELFOR Property Restoration
Ted Foster is BELFOR Property Restoration’s national pricing specialist and director of training. As national pricing specialist, Ted’s duties include monitoring and reporting price fluctuations throughout North America, and working with insurance software platforms. He also works with BELFOR’s 180-plus locations throughout the USA and Canada to assist and address pricing matters.
As director of training, his duties includes overseeing all training in USA and Canada, overseeing BELFOR’s online learning management system, and developing new course curriculums for estimators and project managers. Ted also assists BELFOR’s Program Department in handling estimating processes consistently from office to office. Ted has been in the insurance restoration industry for more than 40 years.
Brent Francom

Brent Francom is the project director of analytics for Xactware, where he is responsible for the development of software for XactAnalysis and related Xactware products. He joined Xactware in 2005, and has been a project manager within the XactAnalysis department and a quality assurance analyst for Xactware. Brent has a bachelor’s degree in business/IT education from Southern Utah University.
John Glissmeyer

John Glissmeyer is the manager of strategic training for Xactware. John oversees the Xactimate Certified Trainer program and strategic training initiatives, including the use and implementation of Xactware’s self-paced eLearning Modules. He began work at Xactware in 2009 in the finance department and then moved to training where he was a certified trainer, senior trainer, and XCT team lead before assuming his current position. Before joining Xactware, John was a contractor and a real estate broker. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix and an MBA from Western Governors University.
Ryan Golding

Ryan Golding is a project manager for Xactimate mobile, XactContents mobile, and ContentsTrack mobile for Android and iOS environments. Ryan manages development, quality, and customer feedback projects to fix product bugs and implement newly designed features. He came to Xactware six years ago and started as a QA technician. He has also worked as a project manager for Xactimate online and an account manager where he had the pleasure of meeting many of Xactware’s wonderful customers. He learned about Xactimate while working in the carpet and restoration industry. He later received a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Brigham Young University. He has also studied computer science at Utah Valley University.
Gregg Golson

Gregg Golson is the vice president of marketing and strategic planning at Bracken Engineering. Gregg has more than 25 years of comprehensive experience in claims management. He has handled more than 12,500 property claims, been on 31 tours of catastrophe duty, and handled more than 350 large losses in 13 states. Gregg has earned the following designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Claims, Associate in Management, Associate in Insurance Services, Associate in Personal Insurance, Associate in General Insurance, Associate in Customer Service, and Certified Scrum Master.
Ted Gregory

Ted Gregory is Director of Operations Property Claim Services. He is responsible for daily operations of the PCS team which includes catastrophe identification, development of loss estimates, and publishing of all PCS bulletins, loss estimating, and activities publishing of catastrophe bulletins, severe weather summaries, and storm and event tracking reports. Additionally, he coordinates PCS product and website enhancements, administers PCS quality control, and oversees customer service. Mr. Gregory has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, including extensive work in property and catastrophe planning and response. Most recently, he spent 16 years at USAA, where he was responsible for coordination and handling of all levels of property claims; working on special investigations as part of the SIU department; and serving as staff advisor to the executive leadership of USAA catastrophe operations.

Don Hahn is an account executive at Verisk within the Claims team. Don is responsible for sales and service of ClaimSearch and Xactware solutions in the Northeastern United States. Don has worked at Verisk for just for just under 10 years.
Robb Harrell
Nationwide Insurance
Robb Harrell is a commercial property training consultant with Nationwide Insurance. Robb has been with Nationwide Insurance for the past five years. With Nationwide, he is responsible for training, guidance on estimating, and assisting with strategic day-to-day claim operations. Robb has been an Xactimate affiliate or certified trainer for the past six years where he has had the opportunity to train over 500 students on Xactware products. Prior to Nationwide, Robb worked for two other large insurance carriers and owned a property damage training and consulting firm after being a senior project manager for a large restoration organization.
John Herr
Jenkins Restoration
John Herr has been with Jenkins Restorations for over 12 years and has been a core claim project manager, large loss estimator, the catastrophe manager, and now serves as the director of estimating. His director responsibilities include overseeing the large loss estimating department which includes assuring consistency and accuracy of the large loss estimators throughout the company as well as creating and evaluating the training curriculum for the department. Additionally, he supports the mitigation, emergency service and compliance departments. John is an Xactimate affiliate trainer and serves as the national estimator; writing large/complex losses from coast to coast.

John Langowski is the chief strategy officer for VIP Software. He has more than 26 years of P&C claims industry experience. His career evolved from a mail clerk in an underwriting department to serving as the executive claims leader of one of the fastest growing national P&C carriers in the country. His successful brand-building initiatives for the various companies where he has worked include assignments such as: turnaround situations, start-up departments, claims software design, mergers and acquisitions, cross-functional leadership and developing his staff to becoming leaders and achieving results.
Dan Long

Dan Long is the president of Service Software Inc. He leads the sales, financial, and operations of the company. Restoration Manager, a Service Software company, began 12 years ago when the largest Purofirst franchise needed a better product for job management, financial analysis, and equipment/consumable tracking. Restoration Manager’s 36 employees design and deliver software solutions for construction industry. Now 500-plus customers strong, Restoration Manager is a leader in software automation for the restoration industry.
Dan began his career at Ernst & Young as a senior consultant. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer engineering from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, and a MBA in accounting from George Washington University, School of Business, Washington, D.C.
Steve Lowry

Steven V. Lowry has been with Jenkins Restorations for six years and is the director of safety and contents/cleaning division as well as special adviser to Jenkins Emergency Services and Jenkins Environmental Services. Steve has more than 24 years in the property restoration industry, 19 years of which are in the mitigation/remediation industry. Steve is currently a board member of the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) and the Restorations Council Chair and has been an active member of Property Insurance and Restoration Conference (PIRC) since its inception. Steve is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania and has also earned the following industry designations: American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) Maryland Council-certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor; Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) Certified Master Water Restorer, IICRC Certified Master Fire Restorer, Certified Master Textile Cleaner; Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS). He also sits on the Board of Dandelion Meadows – a non-profit organization in Purcellville, Virginia, guiding women in recovery, so they may learn life skills and embrace emotional, physical, mental and spiritual wholeness.
Sandra Maples

Sandra Maples is director of IoT product development for ISO Claims Analytics and is responsible for leading connected-home efforts focused on the claims process. Sandra is responsible for the product management life cycle, including strategic planning, partner relationships, and product development. As the IoT claims property product manager, Sandra is focused on incorporating a positive claim experience and improved processes into Verisk products. With nearly nine years in the insurance industry, she has designed and managed efforts across the insurance sector, including claims, underwriting, sales, marketing, and technology. Her experience includes leading the team concerned with the IoT/connected-property user experience as part of an insurance innovation team.
David Maurstad

David Maurstad returned to FEMA two years ago as the assistant administrator for federal insurance. David brings over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. He returned to FEMA after spending seven years in the private sector where he served in executive management positions with an A&E firm and an integrated IT, engineering and management solutions firm. As Assistant Administrator, David’s role is to improve policyholder customer experience, ensure stable and well run Federal Insurance operations, and help adapt to and lead change based on industry changes, trends, and legislation. In 2004, David served as FEMA’s Director for the Mitigation Division, Emergency Preparedness and Response Directorate and Federal Insurance Administrator. Prior to his 2004 appointment, he served as director of FEMA’s Region VIII – a position he was appointed to in October of 2001, by President George W. Bush. In 1998, David was elected as Nebraska’s lieutenant governor. He also served as state senator of the Nebraska Unicameral Legislature and was the mayor of Beatrice, Nebraska. Maurstad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and an MBA from the University of Nebraska.

Zack Meadows has worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years, specializing in catastrophes. Mid-America began in 1980 and six years ago Zack and his business partner, Stacy Story, had the opportunity to acquire Mid-America Catastrophe. Zack and Stacy have worked tirelessly for the last six years to make Mid-America one of the leading independent adjusting firms. His success is attributed to experience, innovation, hard work, and determination. Zack continues to infuse both a strong work ethic and a family focused atmosphere, with both the carriers and the adjusters.

Michael Mockenhaupt is the director of claims, estimation, and contents at Liberty Mutual Insurance. With over 20 years of experience at Liberty Mutual he has held multiple claim positions including leadership positions in property, auto, and the special investigation unit. Michael’s current key responsibilities include oversight of estimation practices and procedures including incorporating new technologies into estimation process. Michael works with industry partners to incorporate new technology into to the claims process. He has demonstrated success on discovering improvements in processes to drive innovation in claim handling through improved practices and technology.
Devan Morriss

Devan Morriss is product director for Xactimate desktop and Xactimate mobile, where he is responsible for managing the development cycles for both products. He has been with Xactware since 2009, where he has worked in support and quality management, where he became a manager. Before his more recent position, he was a project manager for Xactimate. He has studied at Utah Valley University and Western Governors University and has an A+ certification from CompTIA.

Scott Parkin is an assistant vice president of sales for Verisk, where he has oversight over mid-market sales initiatives and the inside sales group. He joined the Xactware sales team 12 years ago and has worked in a variety of software-related companies before joining Verisk. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in business marketing and an MBA from the University of Utah. He and his wife enjoy spending their free time with their five children and three grandchildren.
Rodney Pilot

Rodney A. Pilot serves as an operating partner of Pilot Catastrophe Services, Inc. and is responsible for field operations, management, and collaborating with clients to develop high-level insurance related catastrophe response plans. Founded and based in Mobile, Alabama, Pilot is the largest catastrophe adjusting firm in the nation and provides thousands of adjusters, support staff and management after natural and man-made disasters across the country. Since Pilot’s inception in 1983, Rodney has been involved in every major catastrophe that has occurred in the United States with the Pilot organization.
Jennifer Pintacuda

Jennifer Pintacuda has 17 years of insurance experience, serving as CFO for multiple carriers and cofounder of Anchor Insurance. Her expertise spans capital raise; mergers and acquisitions; financial operations and reporting; treasury and investment management; risk management; tax strategy and compliance; regulatory and rating agency compliance; and catastrophe reinsurance placement and strategy. At CFO Alliance, a financial and insurance consulting firm, Jennifer uses her specialized insurance knowledge to help insurance companies prosper by providing customized consulting services to meet their strategic business goals. Jennifer also conducts insurance-focused educational training as an instructor for Booke Seminars. Jennifer is a certified public accountant and holds a Masters of Accountancy from Stetson University.
JT Pouland

JT Pouland, founder and CEO of Choice Solution Services, has spent 20 years in the property insurance claims industry, where he has overseen teams managing major catastrophes to daily TPA claims. He has been involved with settling over 250K claims. In his current role, he oversees operations and financial management, building lasting client relationships with memorable customer service while driving planning and decision-making. Before founding Choice Solution Services, JT worked on the carrier side at Travelers Group and claims adjusting. JT holds a degree from Stephen F. Austin University along with multiple industry certifications. He currently resides in Dallas Texas, with his wife and children. Between being a father and running a highly successful firm, in his spare time he loves playing tennis, golf, and Texas barbecue.
Scott Pritchard

Scott Pritchard is the president and founder of Canam Systems. Scott started the company in 1994 and was the driving force behind the development of Proven Solutions Accounting (PSA). Scott has dedicated the last 15 years to building the company's core product in the Restoration space, PSA Restoration Contractor.
Greg Pyne

Greg Pyne is assistant vice president of pricing solutions for Xactware. Greg oversees the departments responsible for the maintenance and publication of pricing information for more than 460 markets across North America for structural repair, structural cleaning, mitigation, contents cleaning, and preservation and maintenance.
Greg has worked with the price list research and publication team since 1995, rising from pricing research specialist to team leader of the Pricing Research Department to his current managerial role. Greg has completed more than ten industry certifications from OSHA, RIA and the IICRC including the IICRC Master Fire and Smoke Restorer and IICRC Journeyman Textile Cleaner certifications.

Joe Rahe is an account executive at Verisk within the Claims team. Joe is responsible for sales and service of ClaimSearch and Xactware solutions in the Midwest United States. Joe has worked at Verisk for just for just under 15 years.
Jason Raske

Jason Raske is the NFIP claim manager at Allstate Insurance. Jason joined Allstate Insurance in 2002, as a P & C adjuster. He transitioned into the flood operation in 2004 and accepted the role as the NFIP flood claims manager in 2006. Today, his key responsibilities are driving operational excellence, outstanding auality, and effortless customer experience. Jason and his team continue to test and implement new claims technology, to deliver the most advanced claims experience. Jason works with industry partners to change processes and technology designed for making the NFIP claims process more streamlined and intuitive, customer focused and provide the most accurate claim outcomes for our policyholders.
Kelly Redd

Kelly Redd is a product director for the claims platform and ContentsTrack Online products for Xactware. Previous assignments include project manager for Xactware online estimating. He joined Xactware in 2006, and has worked in quality assurance for Xactimate and XactContents, Telenet Sales, XactAnalysis, EDI integrations, and Account Management. Before joining Xactware, Kelly managed a distribution warehouse. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business – IT management from Western Governors University. He and his wife are parents of four boys.
Ron Richardson
Geomni
Ron Richardson is senior vice president for Geomni, a Verisk Analytics business, where he focuses on product development and technologies related to image capture and analysis for Geomni’s insurance carrier customers. Ron is a subject matter expert for insurance and construction-related aspects pertaining to Geomni. Ron has worked for Verisk since 2008, when he started at Xactware, another Verisk Analytics business. He joined Geomni in 2016. Prior to Verisk, he owned and operated a residential construction company and has worked in the property and casualty insurance industry since 1989. Ron received a bachelor’s degree from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, and has since obtained the Chartered Property and Casualty (CPCU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations.
Jeff Schmitt

Jeff Schmitt began his career in claims with Farmers Insurance in 1996. After several years as a catastrophe claims supervisor with Farmers, Jeff joined NCA Group in 2001, where he held various positions including vice president of claims, vice president of business development, and director of quality assurance. NCA Group was acquired by Worley Claims Services in July 2015 and Jeff is currently serving as senior vice president with Worley. His responsibilities include sourcing, directing, and evaluating opportunities with new and existing business partners that align with Worley's strategic growth initiatives. He oversees the development and execution of Worley's sales and marketing plans, including implementation of new service offerings and product innovation. Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in corporate communication from Northern Illinois University.
Cory Shelton
Geomni
As a project manager for Geomni, Cory Shelton leads development teams for Geomni’s UAV programs. This includes the Geomni Mobile App and the Geomni UAV inspection service network. Cory also oversees development of the Geomni Viewer. Cory joined Geomni in August of 2017. An avid drone pilot, Cory has clocked more than 1000 hours of UAV flight time. Prior to joining Geomni Cory served the insurance industry as an independent catastrophe adjuster, spending much of the last 10 year traveling the U.S. in service of insurance carriers and their policyholders. Combining his skills as an adjuster with his love of UAV Cory became one of the first to hold licensure in all 50 states as an adjuster as well as Part 107 license pilot. Cory is also an avid videographer. He also enjoys CNC design, 3D printing, and is host of the Youtube channel “L3t’s Make,” A channel that focus on CAD programming, design, and creative projects.
Cortney Shepard

Cortney Shepard is a senior product manager at Verisk Insurance Solutions and is responsible for product innovation and development of Benchmark. She works with customers to help them become more resilient to the effects of weather and mitigate risk from natural hazards through integration of weather and climate data into their business.
Michael Spensieri
DONAN Engineering
Michael Spensieri is a regional engineering manager with DONAN. In this role, Michael is responsible for engineering operations in the mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States. As a member of DONAN’s Catastrophe (CAT) Management Team, he has led multiple CAT event responses with DONAN including Storm Sandy and the effects of the winter of 2015 on the northeastern United States. Michael is a licensed professional engineer in most states along the eastern coast of the United States and has performed forensic engineering investigations throughout his career. Before joining DONAN in July 2009, he worked in various roles in the geotechnical engineering and construction quality assurance fields and in the homebuilding industry. Michael has a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from West Virginia University and is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Nick Sykes

Nicholas Sykes is Xactware’s vice president of mobile and desktop estimating. Nick oversees Xactware's field estimation products used throughout the world on iOS, Android, and Windows platforms. Nick joined Xactware in 2002 and has held positions such as director of mobile development, project manager of major releases, manager of quality assurance, and software engineer.
Nick is a graduate of Utah Valley University, where he received an art degree and a bachelor’s degree in information technology. He also received an MBA from the University of Utah. Prior to joining Xactware, Nick worked for multiple technology companies, specializing in software, networking, and computer hardware.
Cade Taylor

Cade Taylor is a project manager for ClaimXperience, Xactware's powerful self-serve collaboration tools that help claims representatives involve policyholders more deeply in the claims process. In this role, Cade works jointly with internal and external customers as well as the development and quality assurance teams within the ClaimXperience department in order to ensure that the ClaimXperience products meet and exceed customer needs. Cade joined Xactware in 2009, coordinating marketing efforts for a number of products, before moving to his current role. Cade received his bachelor’s degrees in marketing and economics from Utah State University.
Jason Taylor

Jason Taylor is AVP, Claims Consultants, at Xactware. Prior to his current role, Jason has served in sales, support, and marketing positions throughout his career at Xactware, which started in 1997. Jason’s business development responsibilities include managing relationships with third-party companies for workflow and data integrations, exploring new markets, and analyzing the need for new products in existing markets. He has also represented Xactware at many industry conferences and events and enjoys working directly with Xactware customers and partners. Jason received a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Purdue University.
Jeffrey Taylor

Jeffrey C. Taylor is president of Geomni, a Verisk business specializing in technologies related to image capture and analysis. Mr. Taylor oversees Geomni’s integrated geospatial data and remote sensing–based solutions throughout Verisk Analytics. During Jeff’s tenure at Xactware and Verisk since 1992, he has been a key innovative leader as vice president, Geospatial Solutions, and vice president, Xactimate. Jeff also led several start-up initiatives, including early versions of geospatial, contents, and PRM- and ITV-related solutions. He has always focused on combining future technology with exceptional talent to enhance the lives of customers, partners, and employees. Jeff holds a bachelor of science degree in e-business from Utah Valley University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Utah. He is also active in several charitable organizations, including the Primary Children’s Medical Center in Utah.
Matthew Taylor

Matthew Taylor is the online product director for Xactware, where he prioritizes development needs and product releases for Xactimate online and XactContents online. Matt works with a team of project managers, developers, and quality assurance personnel. He started with Xactware in 2010, where he has worked in quality assurance, and been a product manager and account manager before assuming his current role. Before coming to Xactware, he built custom homes. He has a bachelor’s degree in management with an entrepreneurship emphasis from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management.
Jason Thies
Liberty Mutual Insurance
Jay Thies is the manager of property estimating systems for the U.S. consumer markets business unit of Liberty Mutual Insurance and is based out of Boston, Massachusetts. Jay joined Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2012 as a technical property trainer for Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance. Transitioning in 2014 to Home Office, Jay oversaw the expansion of the Liberty Mutual water mitigation program and was recently promoted to manage estimating systems. During his 16-year career, Jay has served in a variety of claims positions including personal and commercial adjusting roles in both the auto and property lines of businesses during his 12 years at The Hanover Insurance Group.
Jay received his MBA from Nichols College and his bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Worcester State University. Jay is also proud to hold the CPCU and AIC insurance designations and is an Eagle Scout.
Larry C. Thomas

Larry C. Thomas is chief executive officer, Crawford U.S. Services, for the Crawford & Company® business divisions operating in the U.S. including: U.S. Property & Casualty, GTS®, Contractor Connection®, Aviation, LWI Energy, and Crawford Forensic Accounting Services (CFAS). He is responsible for the business segment’s operations, ongoing services diversification, technology innovation and growth initiatives. Thomas is also CEO for the Crawford Contractor Connection segment, which is Crawford’s contractor property managed repair service. Contractor Connection provides services such as contractor recruitment, credentialing and performance management for the insurance industry and consumers. With over 34 years of experience at Crawford & Company, Larry has multi-lines claims experience in the property/casualty area. Other positions he has held with Crawford include branch supervisor, unit manager, and various branch manager positions as well as regional vice president for Crawford’s Western Region. In 1999, Thomas was promoted to president of Contractor Connection, where he focused on improving quality assurance for the insurance carrier clients and enhancing business opportunities for their contractor business partners, ultimately becoming its CEO. Thomas has served on the board of directors for the North Florida Better Business Bureau for over 10 years, and he is currently chairman of the board.
Marc Treacy

Marc Treacy is Managing Director of Flood Insurance at ISO. He is responsible for developing flood insurance solutions for ISO's commercial and personal lines. Marc brings 20 years of experience in underwriting and claims within commercial and personal lines. Most recently, he served as underwriting director at CNA. Before that, he worked for Liberty Mutual, Amerisure, and Allstate. He holds a BA from Creighton University. Marc is based in Chicago, Illinois.

Focused on discovering new ways to do old things, Tony has consistently and successfully worked with industry partners to develop new processes and technology aimed at making the entire industry better, faster and more efficient for policyholders.
Todd Van Sant

Todd is the national estimator and construction cost consultant for Express Restoration and Reconstruction. He oversees the various estimating requirements for projects across multiple verticals including commercial, multifamily, institutional and industrial. Todd is trained as a Certified Xactimate Trainer (XCT). In his role, Todd’s involvement in the scope of work process ensures projects are completed safely, successfully, and within budget. From numerous cost-related responsibilities to working with appropriate government agencies to certify project compliance, Todd’s role is vital to Express’ reputation as a trusted service provider to get companies back to business and back to life. Todd’s expertise spans 13 years and includes restoration projects following Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy as well as Harvey and Irma.

Maureen Westling is a vice president of claims for AON National Flood Services, and is an experienced claims executive with a demonstrated history of working in the insurance industry. Before joining AON, she worked in a variety of positions for Nationwide Insurance. Over the course of her career, she has worked in project management, operations management, property and casualty insurance, customer service, and litigation management.
Andrew White
Amica Mutual Insurance Company
Andrew is a claims examiner with Amica Mutual Insurance Company, which is based in Lincoln, Rhode Island. In addition to overseeing more serious claims from Amica’s home and excess liability lines, Andrew’s work revolves heavily around several key company initiatives which are supported through strategic business partnerships. During his 20-plus years with the company’s claims operation, Andrew has also worked as a claims service representative, a field adjuster and a claims supervisor. In addition, he spent more than five years working in Amica’s learning and talent development department, where he had oversight of and was actively involved in claims-based training programs. Andrew received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Rhode Island, and he has earned the CPCU, AIC and API designations from The Institutes.
Jennifer Whiteaker-Hevelone

Jennifer Whiteaker-Hevelone became involved in the insurance industry in 1991 on the agency side. She began her career in claims in 1996 and first began working with Eberl as a trainer in 1998. During her tenure at Eberl she has worked as a field claims adjuster, field claims trainer, field claims manager, and director of claims training prior to accepting her current position in 2013. In her role as executive vice president she oversees Eberl’s shared services departments which include workforce development, resource management, corporate and claims administration, and business development. Jennifer is closely involved in all leadership decisions, corporate visioning, and functional aspects of the company as well.
Jennifer is an Xactimate affiliate certified trainer and a certified diversity and cultural competency trainer. She holds adjuster’s licenses in multiple states and speaks nationwide to audiences ranging in size from 15 to 400 regarding property insurance claims. Jennifer holds the Associate in National Flood Insurance (ANFI), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), Associate in Claims (AIC), and Associate in in Claims Management (AIC-M) designations.
Mitch Ziemer
California Earthquake Authority
Mitch Ziemer is the insurance and claim director of the California Earthquake Authority. With over 25 years of insurance industry experience with the Fireman's Fund Insurance Companies, Mitch managed development and implementation of nationwide strategic and tactical business plans to support regional objectives for growth, profit, and service for Fireman's Fund homeowners and watercraft lines of business.
Mitch served as a member of the California FAIR Plan governing committee from 2005-2009; he also chaired the Committee. He now directs the CEA's core insurance-business functions, including claims. Mitch is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, where he received a bachelor of arts and social sciences degree with a concentration in economics.
Rick Carter

Rick Carter is an Xactware certified trainer. Prior to working as a trainer, he worked for more than six years as an Xactware software tester. Including time spent with Xactware, Rick has spent more than 20 years in the software industry in various capacities, including support, development, training, testing, and team leadership. He has three years of full-time construction experience with another five years of part-time work, mostly for painting contractors. Rick has a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.

Rob Code is a certified trainer and curriculum designer for Xactware Solutions. Prior to joining the training team in 2011, Rob worked in Xactware’s Technical Support and Quality Assurance department for three years. He has a working background in architecture, computer science, education, and English. Robert attended Mesa Community College, where he received an Associate of Arts degree, and graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in English.

Ken Davenport is currently a certified senior trainer with Xactware Solutions. Prior to joining Xactware Solutions as an instructor in 2011, Ken worked in the construction, structural and pricing research for North America and Canada, and spent two years in a voluntary teaching position. Ken has an Associate of Science degree in education from Utah Valley State College.
Toni Owen

Toni Owen is currently a senior trainer and instructional designer with Xactware Solutions. When she’s not teaching, she helps create and update self-paced videos and written curriculum materials. Prior to joining Xactware Solutions as an instructor in 2013, Toni worked in residential property management and renovation from 2006 to 2013, and spent 11 years in the public school system, teaching grades K-12 covering all subject matter and special education. Toni earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education in 1993 from Southern Utah University, a graduate teaching credential for teaching all subject matter to students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, and Master of Business Administration degree in 2009 from the University of Phoenix.

Prior to his current role, Stan worked in the construction industry for 12 years then jumped to the high tech industry where he has worked for 20 years. Brandon Walter

Brandon Walter is a Product Specialist ll at Verisk. His responsibilities include setting up and configuring ContentsTrack and ClaimXperience for new companies. He also assists with the implementation, consulting and creating of new processes for our customer. Brandon joined Xactware in 2010 as a help desk technician and for the last three years he has been part of the professional services team. Before working with Xactware, Brandon was a measurement-while-drilling engineer for Halliburton. He also ran a successful massage business for three years. He served in the military and was honorably discharged after a three-year tour in Germany. Brandon has a degree in massage therapy from Utah College of Massage Therapy and a bachelor’s degree in information technology. Brandon has a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and stays active lifting weights, running, and hiking. He and his wife have two children.
Seth Warburton

Seth Warburton is an instructional designer and trainer at Xactware. He started at Xactware in 2017. Before coming to Xactware, he was an instructional designer and trainer and Control4. He has more than 10 years of education and instructional design experience ranging from teaching seventh grade technology, to designing educational media at a TV studio. He has won several awards for Instructional Media Design including bronze and silver Telly Awards. Seth has a bachelor’s degree in technology and engineering education, and a master’s eegree in instructional design and learning technology Seth and his wife have four children. and 4 kids. He likes to compete in triathlons and has run many races ranging from five Ks to a marathon.
