Also in downtown is The Gateway, with a number of great restaurants and shops as well as Clark Planetarium, the Olympic Legacy Plaza, and movie theaters.
Utah is America’s national parks capital, with Arches, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion national parks all within its borders. While these parks are a few hours’ drive from Salt Lake City, there are also a number of outdoor opportunities in the Salt Lake area, including the Bonneville Salt Flats and the famed Spiral Jetty on the Great Salt Lake.
